先週の土曜日から昨日の月曜まで、９月の３連休の第一弾がありました。さすがに平日とは違い、道頓堀にはかなりの観光客の数。しかし「とんぼりリバーウォーク」にはあまり人が集まりませんでした。
悲しいことですがまだそんなにメジャーじゃないのだなと常日頃思っているのですが、改めて実感しました。
道頓堀には人があふれているのに川沿いには人がこないのはなぜ？と思いながら視線を「えびす橋」に向けると、未だに工事中で人が通れない状態。

　この工事はいつ終わるのでしょうか？そう言えば、「えびす橋」の反対側で同時進行で行っている「太左衛門橋」の工事のたもとに「工事は今年の８月３１日に終了」の看板がありましたが、ある日に「来年の３月末日」と書き換えられていました。
　
　「我々はココにいるよ！」と声を大にしても、工事でかき消され皆さんに届かない現状の中、頑張って営業をし続けていくしかないなと、長期間にわたる大阪市の公共工事のありさまを見つつ感慨深い日々を過ごしました。
