ここでの蟲とは動物でも植物でもない、微生物や菌類とも違う、もっと命の原生体に近いモノ達。それらを総じて「蟲」と呼ぶ。それらは形や存在が曖昧で、ヒトと蟲とが重なる時、人智を超えた妖しき現象が生まれ、ヒトは初めてその存在を知る。
生命とは、他をおびやかすために在るのではない。ただ、それぞれが在るように在るだけ──
こうした「蟲」とヒトとをつなぐ「蟲師」である主人公ギンコが、旅の途中で様々な人々と、それに関わる蟲達に出会ってゆく。一話ごとに登場人物が異なる読みきり絵巻。


テレビ版は終わってしまいましたが、原作ファンも文句のつけようも無いものでした。
珍しいですねぇーこんなに原作物のＴＶアニメ版のレベルが高いのって。ＤＶＤも出てますので、どぞ
